Cocktail shakers - the greatest invention since sliced bread? Think again! The commercial bread slicer was introduced in 1928, but the cocktail shaker can actually be traced back to 7000 BCE. That’s right, people were mixing cocktails long before they cared about making sandwiches, and in fact, even thousands of years before the invention of the wheel. But those Gen-BCE folks didn’t have the options that we have today. Their version of the cocktail shaker was actually just a jar gourd. Fortunately, modern shakers are based on better materials and newer technology.
At Chauncey’s Market, we have an assortment of cocktail shakers, in different styles, shapes and sizes. We're still expanding the selection, so check back for new additions.
